    Once the session fee is completed, we'll confirm a date and location — outdoors, at a studio or in your home. We'll also begin planning your outfits.

    This is when the magic happens! We'll work together to create natural, relaxed and loving family portraits.

  • 04. Gallery & Collection

    Within 2-3 weeks of your session date, you will receive an online gallery for digital downloads and prints.

Outdoor Family Session

With Toronto’s beautiful seasonal weather, the city is full of perfect spots for family portraits. We could explore the sandy shores of Woodbine Beach for a relaxed, playful vibe or St. Lawrence Market for a lively, urban feel. Polson Pier also offers that classic Toronto skyline view for a cityscape touch.

Indoor family sessions offer a cozy, intimate setting to capture your family’s unique personality and dynamics. Whether in a professional studio (Mint Room Studios, Preto Loft) with versatile backdrops or in the comfort of your own home, these sessions create timeless portraits that reflect your family’s story.

Imagine documenting cherished moments like storytime cuddles, kitchen baking adventures, or living room dance parties. We’ll capture the essence of your family’s daily life and routines in a controlled environment, perfect for any season and ideal for newborns, young children, or multi-generational portraits.

Bring your favourite books, toys, or even pets, and let’s create warm, lasting memories together.

  • Absolutely! We’re happy to work at a location that holds special meaning to your family or suggest beautiful spots like parks, beaches, or urban settings. Our goal is to create portraits that capture the essence of your family in a setting you love.

  • Family sessions usually last about 1-2 hours. This gives us enough time for a variety of poses, settings, and capturing natural, candid moments without anyone feeling rushed.

  • We understand that kids have their own schedules and moods! We keep the session lighthearted and fun to keep them engaged. With patience, playfulness, and breaks as needed, we capture genuine moments, even with the wiggliest little ones.

  • You can expect a curated gallery of edited images, typically around 50-60 photos, depending on your package. Each image is carefully selected to showcase the best moments from your session.

  • We focus on capturing the natural connections between family members but can incorporate small props if you’d like. Feel free to bring any meaningful items that reflect your family’s personality, such as a favorite blanket, toys for the kids, or seasonal decor.

  • Absolutely! Pets are part of the family, and we’re delighted to include them in your session. Just let us know ahead of time, so we can plan for a pet-friendly location and bring any special treats or toys to help them relax and enjoy the experience.

  • The turnaround time for family portraits is usually 2-4 weeks, depending on the season. We’ll keep you updated and provide an online gallery where you can view and download your images once they’re ready.

  • The best time for outdoor family portraits is usually during “golden hour,” which is the hour after sunrise or before sunset. The soft, warm lighting during these times adds a beautiful glow to photos. For indoor sessions, midday often provides optimal natural light.
